Domain of 34 hectares located at the top of the Visan vineyard, this Domaine is in the Cuilleras family since 1850 and Olivier the son is now in charge and has undertaken important changes at the estate in 1999 and his first vinification in 2000 was a great success and he makes exceptional wines, very deep with a lot of concentration and Robert Parker discovered them and has noted 90 and 91.

Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan Cuvée Louise Amélie
91 points Wine Advocate
A sign of just how quickly Cuilleras has learned his trade is reflected in the Cotes du Rhone Cuvee Louise-Amelie. The version of this wine was too oaky, as this is the only cuvee that spends time in wood, only 20% new wood was used, most of that for the 10% Syrah component (the blend includes 90% Grenache). The terrific louise-amélie performs well above its humble origin. A deep ruby/purple color is followed by sweet aromas of raspberry and cherry liqueur intermixed with subtle hints of vanilla and licorice. Chewy, deep, and full-bodied, with copious intensity as well as texture, it will drink well for 5-10 years. This is anexceptionally impressive offering, and may be one of the finest wines produced in the northern Cotes du Rhone village of Visan. A Great value.

>> Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan Vieilles Vignes

91 points Wine Advocate
The Cotes du Rhone-Villages Visan Vieilles Vignes (blend of 90% Grenache, 5% Carignan, and 5% Syrah, bottled without fining or filtration) reveals a dense ruby/purple color as well as a sweet nose of flowers, compost, black cherries, and cassis. Layered, full-bodied, pure, and elegant, it should drink well for 5-6 years. This is an exceptionally impressive offering, and may be one of the finest wines produced in the northern Cotes du Rhone village of Visan. A Great value.
