Producer of wines since
Almost all of our wines are unfiltered (even the rosé), some are not fined (Vieilles Vignes Visan red) in order to keep the authenticity of the wine as well as the aromas.
The SO2 content is also deliberately reduced to respect the integrity of the wine but also to avoid the “dry tastes” (as well as the headaches) often present in certain wines.
Traditional vinification with shedding and daily pumping over in cement vats of 50, 60, 100 or 120 hectoliters
The maceration time varies from 18 to 25 days.
Fermentation temperatures: 25 to 30 ° C.
Aging for 18 months on fine lees, bottled without filtration.
Soil and basement predominantly in blue clay.
Yield: from 20 to 30 Hls / Hectare.
Age of the vines for this vintage/ cuvée : 50 to 80 years.
Blend of grape varieties: 90% Grenache Noir, 10% Syrah
Wine to drink between 5 and 10 years old.
Ideal serving temperature: 16 °.
The Cotes du Rhone and the Vin de Pays
Are produced on a stony clayey soil.
They are generous, full-bodied and aromatic wines for their category, they withstand a certain aging.
We recommend systematically decanting the red wines in order to better enjoy them before meals … Have a good tasting.
Red wines for aging like the “Vieilles Vignes Visan”
Are produced on the hottest soils and on powerful, very clayey and stony soils.
They are full-bodied and structured wines.
Wines with a powerful bouquet, very typical “Grenache”, with aromas of cooked red fruits, complex and which will evolve with age towards aromas of spices and leather.
